We are visiting CJ's mom this weekend and the kids love checking to see if anything new is added to her treasure chest - which is filed with all sorts of nature :)
Sunday was such a beautiful November day so we took the Witchlets to the playground to burn some energy.
The tree at the playground was utterly beautiful, so vibrant in color--the leaves stood out. I love how they change color right before falling. Shows that even death is beautiful.
The day was so perfect, the weather was amazing; hard to believe by evening it was so cold out I wished I had an electric blanket and some hot coco to get cozy with. The forecast for next week is looking meek--temps in the 20's and 30's. Bye bye beautiful November.
This Friday is the day! The sun will be partially eclipsed over a large area that includes western and central Asia, parts of northern and central Europe, all of Greenland and even a small part of northeastern North America!
This will be a total solar eclipse, the first in nearly two and a half years!
Where will it be visible? Click here to find out!
Tropical storm Dolly just may turn into Hurricane Dolly and seems to be headed for Texas. Will this affect gas prices?
"According to a report from AccuWeather.Com while the storm will create rough seas in the Gulf, it is expected to steer clear of U.S. oil and natural gas operations. However, there is a potential impact on oil and gas rigs in the Bay of Campeche operated by Pemex, Mexico's national oil company."

Mother nature sure is letting go of her wrath lately. It is the Earth's way of cleansing herself. Unfortunately, this is going to continue, especially considering the way the Earth is being treated.
Ahhh, summer.
Time for evening walks, weddings and other festivities in this season of warmth and romance.
The Solstice on June 20th heralds the celebration of Midsummer, which marks the longest day of the year. Though the light of the sun begins to wane at this point, there's still plenty of time to relish the greening and flowering of the earth.
Be sure to relax and enjoy this magical time, languish in its seductive power. Raise your glass of wine to the bewitching night sky whenever you can, and feel the power of the universe as it swirls around and within you.
I would love to have more plants and flowers around the house but I have a few reasons why I don't. First of all, I have a dog and a cat, who seem to love to chew on flowers. Secondly, I have a mother in law who is allergic to several different types of plants and flowers. I don't want her visits to be miserable because of this. She doesn't visit often because she lives in a different state but when she does visit, she stays here for several days.
The solution? I think it's silk plants. It's the perfect solution for my situation anyway!
Artificialplantsandtrees.com is an excellent source to utilize when looking for really nice looking plants. The trees and plants look so real that it's hard to discern from afar. I also think the silk flowers make a good gift and using them serves the cause of preserving nature! Not only that but using silk plants and flowers means I won't have to worry about bugs in my house since I won't have live plants in it.
This is a great idea and now I can even send my mother in law flowers and not have to worry about her feeling miserable since artificial silk flowers won't affect her allergies!
Today is Earth Day and wow, it is beautiful outside! What a gorgeous day!
You know, we all should treat every day as Earth Day and be more aware of our environment. This is where we live, we should always take care of our home!
Do something for the environment today, even if it's as simple as putting something out for recycling.
~Blessed Be!
