This is a really good anointing oil to have. It's tough to read here in the picture so I've posted it below:

• 1 airtight 2 oz. jar
• 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
• 1/2 tablespoon rosemary
• 10 drops myrrh oil
• Light colored olive oil - used to completely fill the jar

Mix well in an airtight two-ounce jar. Turn jar over daily for at least 10 days before using. Rub the oil on the candle before burning.

Interesting Point: I was raised Catholic and every February 3rd we would go have our throats blessed - using anointed candles. Known as the feast day for Saint Blaise; two candles are blessed, held slightly open, and pressed against the throat as a blessing is said. Saint Blaise's protection of those with throat troubles apparently comes from a legend that a boy was brought to him who had a fishbone stuck in his throat. The boy was about to die when Saint Blaise healed him.

There are so many similarities between Sabbats and 'holy days' - it's so interesting!

Oak is known as the tree of endurance, and triumph, it is connected strongly to the Earth and can easily channel natural energies.
Oak centers the mind, allowing it to focus on the task at hand, it can also help bring about needed matters of the heart.
Oak help promote both observation and intuition.

Magical Properties: Knowledge, Protection, Healing
Element: Earth, Water, Spirit
Planet: Jupiter

You will need:

• Grape Oil (or Sunflower Oil)
• 1 pinch of Sea Salt
• 1 Acorn

Blend ingredients and simmer on low heat in an enamel pan.

Remove from burner and let cool.

Place it in a small bottle or bowl that will only be used to charge and anoint items such as candles in your Magick Circle.

To charge the oil itself, bring it into your Magic Circle or sacred space.

This is a nice simple oil to make for Yule

You will need:

• 2 drops of each Cinnamon and Clove oil,
• 1 drop of Mandarin oil,
• 2 drops each Frankincense and Myrrh oil.

Add this to 30ml of base oil, use to anoint candles, the hearth, potpourri, etc.

This classic prosperity oil has been used for at least 100 years. It is best made on a Thursday and is believed to be most effective if allowed to sit for three weeks after mixing.


A small green piece of fabric may be anointed with the oil and carried in the purse.

The oil may be worn as a perfume.

Omit the base oil if you wish to use with an aromatherapy oil warmer.


One part basil powder.

One part spearmint essential oil.

One quarter part cinnamon essence.

Six parts base oil (virgin olive, sunflower, or light mineral).


Mix all ingredients carefully and put into a dark glass bottle.

Allow it to sit for at least three weeks then strain through a cheesecloth or muslin to remove the basil powder residue.

Keep a small coin in the bottle and keep away from direct sunlight.

Enhance the purity of spiritual vibrations.

This one is best made during The Dark of the Moon.

* 1 dram-sized bottle
* 1/2 dram Sweet Almond Oil
* 3 drops Amber Oil
* 1 drop Jasmine Oil
* 7 drops Dark Musk Oil (Plain Musk may be substituted)
* 5 drops Rue Oil
* 3 small pieces Dragon's Blood Resin
* 1 pinch coarse Sea Salt

Add the ingredients and shake, to mix well, after each addition.

3 drops Myrrh
2 drops Cypress
1 drop Patchouli
1 dried Mint leaf

Mix the essential oil in a base of Sesame or Almond oil or good quality Olive oil.
Add the dried Mint leaf and blend.




Wear during ritual of defensive Magick.

Also wear during the waning of the Moon in honor of Hecate.

1/2 teaspoon dried sweet basil
1 teaspoon powdered myrrh
3 drops rose oil
3 drops lavender oil
1/2 cup olive oil

Mix together and allow to mature for 3 weeks in a warm dark place, shake daily. Strain and charge under the light of the Moon.

East Wind, the wind of intelligence: Lavender

South Wind, the wind of passion and change: Musk

West Wind, the wind of love and emotions: Rose

North Wind, the wind of riches: Honeysuckle

South Wind is the catch-all; if your wish doesn't fall into any of the other
categories, use South Wind.

Wear the appropriate oil when desiring a change in that area of your life.

Also wear to boost spells you may also be working.
