Hematite is the all-purpose grounding (energy-balancing) stone, not to mention a beautiful ornament.
Tell, or charge all your troubles to or into the rock, then put it on the ground overnight, so that the negative energy will soak into the Earth and become neutral.
I used to wear Hematite rings but somehow I always broke them! What does that say about my need to be more grounded? Now I have a few hematite palmstones, like the one pictured in this post. I usually carry one in my pocket and I have one on my altar.

These piece of hematite is beautiful. I have a natural rough piece on my altar right now for Imbolc. I will try your suggested method soon. Great info. Thank you.
Hey there Hibiscus - I would love to have a natural rough piece of hematite! Mine are all tumbled stones.
What a neat thing to do!
On the hematite ring breakage, I had always heard that they are meant to break when they have done all they can for you. It just means you need a new one...as for what it says about you, it just says that you are a smart and decent person who cares about being grounded.
@Tara - I always wear a copper bracelet (with small magnets), especially when working on the computer. A healer told me copper would help to ebb my headaches. I am not so sure it was that (vrs. self-hypnosis), but I am mostly headache free - and as a side benefit I discovered the bracelet seems to make my wrist feel better.
I used to wear hematite rings too....and they broke too...I think I ruined like 3 of them before I gave up wearing them
and btw, just wanted to add....

I've always like hematite, now I know why, being an earth sign and all.
And in one of those light bulb moments, I realize why your writing is so familiar: I've visited Unbalanced Libra off and on over the past few months and even linked there.
Hi Pam!
Yep, I am all over the lace, I think I have about 23 blogs now!
I love hematite, but I only have 2 stones right now, I have to buy some more. I like to carry them as well, I am in constant need of grounding.
