When it comes to incense, which do you prefer, cone or stick? I am leaning more and more towards cone incense, simply because of the nice way it burns down.
Not to mention the fact I almost burned the house down once with stick incense, LOL. I was this close >< to needing some serious emergency assistance at putting that fire out! My poor altar cloth.
So, which do you usually burn? Do you have a favorite brand? Favorite sent?

I was just having this conversation yesterday with my beloved. I realized that I like burning the sticks better than the cones. The cones for me seem to produce 'too much' smoke, while the sticks seem to be more subtle. I picked up these wonderful ones at an expo called Meditation. They are hand made and smell amazing, but I only got a small batch so I use them sparingly. I've not found an absolute favorite scent yet, though I was burning Sandlewood yesterday.
I use the sticks because they don't put off as much smoke and I have an asthmatic child. My most favorite is called Spirtual Power.
I sometimes use stick (mostly sandalwood), but mostly, I use loose powder incense. I am blessed to live near The Sword and the Rose (in SF), and he makes custom blends for specific deities and purposes that are extravagant, all natural, and amazingly accurate from a magickal standpoint. I think I must have about 25 of his blends now! LOL

seems like the loose powder/resin smells best and works best, from what most people say. I need to start burning that more often. I wish my house smelled like the Pagan shops I frequent, LOL
I have given you an award http://mychaosinlife.blogspot.com/
I prefer cone over stick, but also prefer to mix my own herbs and place on a charcoal.
Okay, I know this is really weird, but for some reason I equated your title with the good old boxers or briefs question. :-P It made me laugh.
In all seriousness to the question, though, I use a stick. Mainly because I've just never tried any other kind. Nice site!
