Beautiful view tonight! A friend of mine posted this photo on Facebook, wondering what star is by the Moon. That's no star, that's the planet Venus!
Tonight is the waxing crescent moon and also the planet Venus in the west. Venus is the brightest object in the sky after the sun and moon. Plus, the planet Jupiter, sits below Venus and the moon.
