Here it is, another Mercury Retrograde is coming up! More in my next post on what it means to have a retrograde in Libra...

I was checking out mens black diamond earrings online (don't ask) when I suddenly realized - Oh yes, another Mercury Retrograde is upon us. It actually started on July 14, 2012 ans will last up until August 9, 2012 (Happy Birthday, Mom!)So far, so good for me but heck, there are still 3 weeks of this left!

During this Mercury Retrograde period, time seems to come to a stand still, making it feel like one long break. You really should use this time to turn inward and re-evaluate, redo or revamp whatever had been done earlier.

This is NOT a good time to venture into unknown areas taking risks. Oh, and definitely prepare for delays or misunderstandings in life, it never fails during a Mercury Retrograde period! Also, don't make any important changes because they might not materialize.

As many of you know, about three times every year for around three weeks at a time, Mercury, the planet of communication turns retrograde. I noticed that when Mercury is retrograde, time feels like it's standing still. I already know it's not a good time to venture into unknown areas or take risks and I always prepare for delays or misunderstandings because well, it's going to happen!

I've been noticing (on Facebook usually, LOL) my friends/family members complaining about how all sorts of things are going wrong, people are fighting with loved ones, cars and computers are breaking down, etc....but I've just been keeping to myself. Things have been slow work wise for me on the freelancing end - I mean heck, I only had one article to complete this week, and it had to do with allergies in austin and where/how to get relief. I don't even live near austin...

All of a sudden, over the last 3-4 days, I have had an explosion of potential clients! I mean, it's HUGE and just what I desperately need! All have proposals or are waiting for proposals from me and I'm thinking, "but wait, Mercury is in retrograde and I know not to make any important changes because they might not materialize. Is the Universe playing a joke on me???!!!"

GAH!!!!!!  So NOW I understand why my life has turned upside down this month! Miscommunication with friends and lost someone very close to my heart (not to death, although he is dead to me, but I digress)

I suppose the demise of that relationship was inevitable and this Mercury retrograde finally made it all happen. *sigh*

"At 03:50 UT (Universal Time) Wednesday, August 3rd, 2011, Mercury the wise communicator—and universal trickster—turns retrograde at 1°12' Virgo in the sign of the Virgin, sending communications, travel, appointments, mail and the www into a general snarlup! The retro period begins some days before the actual turning point (as Mercury slows) and lasts for three weeks or so, until August 26, 2011, when the Winged Messenger reaches his direct station. At this time he halts and begins his return to direct motion through the zodiac."

Things are supposed to straighten out around September 9th but until then--well, hold on to your hats!
Oh, and Blessed Full Moon today as well :)

Mercury is now in retrograde!!!! THIS explains so much, like how my neighbor's computer kept crashing every time she types "hip hop clothing" in to Google search! Weird! Hold on to your panties because this started today and will last until April 23rd! I had to look up the dates to verify this because it is longer than 3 weeks!

Remember, Mercury is a mental planet and governs all forms of communication, including writing and speaking, as well as methods of communication such as computers, phones, faxes, and the mail system.

Don't be surprised if messages get lost during this time and things get misinterpreted. It's a good idea to check all the fine print in legal documents during this time, as well as back up computer files.

I am feeling the worst effects of the Mercury retrograde this time around! Yesterday was a dozy!

A close friend and I had massive communication problems; between friends and family. Now, yes, everything happens for a reason but wow--stuff just went down bad.

Then, even more importantly, I had a misunderstanding with a client, who is also a friend. Sometimes communication through words via email can be misconstrued, that is for sure, but during a Mercury retrograde? Oy vey. Hopefully I will be able to have a phone conversation with her today and get things back on track.

Lastly, and MOST importantly, CJ and I were going round and round about stupid stuff last night. I blame Mercury retrograde and my very grumpy mood. He swore someone pissed in my wheaties, lol, and ya, it was Mercury! Hahaaha! Yesterday was just a BAD day for communication--with everyone!

Are you feeling the effects of Mercury in retrograde yet? It began yesterday. During this time, there are usually lots of problems involving any sort of communication. Things break down. Repairs are lengthy and expensive. Travel plans go weirdly awry. Magick also has a tendency to misbehave during this time.

This will last about 3 weeks, the next one is not until 12/9/10.

However, Mercury retrograde can be a productive time for those long overdue cleaning projects, the attic, the garage, the basement. Take something that is known to be negative and turn it into positive!

My mom and her boyfriend are leaving for vacation today...uh oh! Should I tell her about this? LOL

Yes, Mercury was in retrograde this past September and already, tomorrow, it will be again! Mercury retrogrades in Capricorn from December 26 until next year on January 15.

Remember, Mercury represents our thought process, communication, transportation, commerce, and electronics/technology. Mercury retrograding in Capricorn represents structure and foundation.

In Capricorn, Mercury is willful and persistent, goal-oriented and a hard worker. Mercury retrograde in Capricorn affects governments and long-standing institutions.

Ohhh this Mercury retrograde has just been brutal this time around!

Breathe a sigh of relief because on September 29 at 9:13 a.m. Eastern, Mercury stations and prepares for direct movement. Mercury has been retrograde since September 7.

The complete retrograde cycle, including the shadow period, is August 17 to October 14. Mercury will have retraced his steps beginning from 6 degrees and 13 minutes of Libra all the way back to 21 degrees and 38 minutes of Virgo. Expect to revisit unresolved issues or major events between now and back to August 17, especially with four other planets currently in retrograde.

As Mercury moves forward through the degrees he's previously visited, twice before, this third pass may give resolutions, final answers/decisions, raise awareness to something/s previously missed, or perhaps a look back to reflect upon the current status of these situations.

I for one, will be VERY glad when this is over. It has been craaazzzyyyy in my life this month. How about you? How has this Mercury retrograde affected you?

Mercury was last retrograde in May. Next month, the fastest moving planet in the zodiac will once again be retrograde for 3 weeks from September 7 to 29; the complete retrograde cycle, including the shadow period is August 17 to October 14.

Unlike his movements back in May, next month Mercury joins five other celestial bodies which are currently in retrograde (Jupiter, Chiron, Neptune, Uranus, Pluto). This makes it all the more easier, perhaps inevitable, for us to turn our focus inward. Added to that energy is Pluto's return at Aries Point in Capricorn, who will undoubtedly rehash what remains unanswered ... unsettled.

Mercury backwards in an eclipse season will reveal more depth than you thought was possible. Expect BIG secrets to come out. Real shockers!

So, just what does Mercury in retrograde mean? Well, as is the standard with any retrograde planet, this Mercury retrograde period is a time for the prefix "re" -- reflect, rethink, re-plan, review, retool, reorganize, redefine, re-examine, rewrite, reread, repair. So reassess, as necessary and as much as you want, but avoid starting new projects, signing any contracts, or entering into any major agreements or commitments. It's easy to overlook details or neglect to include information pertinent to the terms. A change of mind is also common. If you must enter into an agreement during the retrograde period, it is important to re-read all fine print, have another set of eyes go over it, and get all your questions answered before completing the transaction.

For me, I WILL be signing a contract during this period! We are going to become Disney Vacation Club members and I can't wait!! But I digress, lol. I will be sure to have CJ read over everything.
