Addendum To My Last Post

Posted in ,

Apparently my ex reads this blog - and most likely some of his family. Anyway, the last post, where I talked about going through a divorce, struck a nerve. He feels that post came off as though I blame him 100% for the divorce. I told him I will make a post tonight and straighten that out. So, without further ado, let me set the record straight.

  • No, it's not CJ's fault, 100%
  • No, he wasn't some big mean asshole
  • Blog followers - I don't believe any of you think he's an ass, do you? That's what he thinks, because he feels I made him out to look like an ass in my last blog post.
He said, via text message, that I forgot to mention that I walked out months before he did. That's not true. I wrote:
We've been officially separated since March 2015 - that's when I moved out. He moved at the end of July.

He said this is how I'm trying to portray myself. Well, NO, I DON'T want to come off as he said to me, via another text message:
"Poor Lisa...husband walked out on the house...In default 8k...Lisa had nothing to do with it."
I was the one who wanted to end the marriage. I left (mentally and emotionally) long before I left physically. I never blamed all of this on him. I wholeheartedly admit I was the one who wanted to end things. I don't know how many more times I can say that.

In My Personal Life

Posted in ,

Just a quick update: I'm about to go through a divorce. We've been officially separated since March 2015 - that's when I moved out. He moved at the end of July.

I've been moving my own things out, slowly. My kids don't have anywhere to go with a lot of their stuff. Dante doesn't care about most of his stuff, but he made sure to take the keyboard he had over there, along with a work mat (it's for a work space to protect the floor, countertops, and tables), which I'm surprised he didn't take with him.

I've been trying to keep it together and keep my spiritual side in check. I mean, I need spirituality and inner strength to get through all of this.

Pondering Our Anniversary

Posted in

CJ and  I will be married a year this October 31st. We didn't have a handfasting but everything else about our relationship was unconventional. Lived together for years, had children, no exquisite proposal or diamond engagement ring, etc...we just decided on a Thursday to get married the following Monday - which was Samhain :)

The above photo is a photo of a photo - got it? LOL - well, my mom took that picture right after we were married and she is still in the stone-age, using disposable cameras.

Anyway, now that we are coming up on a year, I'm wondering what to do to celebrate. Since we were married on Samhain, we know we will definitely be going trick or treating with the Witchlets :)

Gathering My Thoughts and Letting Go

Posted in , ,

I've always had a difficult time letting go - even with the aid of magick, some people/situations continue to haunt me. I recently came upon R.A. Leslie, a renowned motivational speaker and life-coach and the author of the enlightening fairy tale,  “Do You Know The Sound of Throwing Stars Far?,” and the thought provoking romance,  “Chasing Rainbows”.

I've subscribed to her blog, Contemplate This and I've already had many life altering thought processes - for the better. Just her random quotes make me 'contemplate' LOL - I love this one:

"We are all dreaming. When we dream it while we are Awake, that is when it will come true!"
I absolutely love her! I did get her book "Chasing Rainbows" and read it in it's entirety, in one day! Now, this book is more of a romance as she also offers relationship coaching, in person or via the phone.

"Chasing Rainbows presents its readers with a meditative memoir-fairy tale romance in letters, through fiction and non-fiction narratives. The timeless theme offers lessons on how to use the gift of change as a way to live authentically, thus honoring the wisdom in our true selves. When we are honest with ourselves, our minds open to the innocence of our hearts and life becomes more alive."

Right now she is giving this book away. If you're interested, enter the giveaway :) Fill out the form below:

Hello from DIsney

Today is our second day in Disney! We are having a marvelous time! Here is a shot of us at Disney's Hollywood Studios - we had someone take a picture for us, should have not been looking in the sun, LOL. I found this border and thought it made the photo kinda look like a tarot card :)

On Monday, CJ and I leave for Disney sans the Witchlets - for our "DisneyMoon". Feel free to come to Disney with us and take a break from reality! We are staying at the Beach Club Villas:

Here is our 'tentative' itinerary:

Monday, March 5th - dinner at 7:15pm - Yachtsman Steakhouse - Disney's Yacht Club Resort

Tuesday, March 6th - lunch at 11:45am - Restaurant Marrakesh - Epcot
Tuesday, March 6th - dinner at 8:15pm - Bistro de Paris - Epcot

Wednesday, March 7th - dinner at 8:15pm - Paradiso 37, Taste of the Americas - Downtown Disney - West Side

Thursday, March 8th - dinner at 7:30pm - California Grill - Disney's Contemporary Resort

Friday, March 9th  - breakfast at 9:35am - Cape May Cafe - Disney's Beach Club Resort

Guess I better read up on calorie burner 643 side effects since I think I'll need something to take in order to keep from coming home 10 pounds heavier! LOL

The last 6 months have been extremely stressful. This trip is something we both really need. I know I will miss my little Witchlets terribly though :(

We return Friday, March 9th around 9:30pm so I will 'see' you all upon our return. Blessed Be well everyone )O(

Soulmate Discussion

Posted in

A dear friend of mine, R.A. Leslie, is a life coach/relationship coach. She often holds seminars on various relationship topics. This month the topic she will cover is about the different kinds of soulmates/friends and how romantic love can be redefined. If you're in the area, I encourage you to check it out.

When: Thursday October 14, 2010 7:00 PM

Where: Barnes&Noble >> 240 Route 22 West, Springfield, NJ 07081, 973-376-8544

She not only holds seminars, she also provides one on one relationship coaching as well--I highly recommend her.

There IS More Than One Religion

Posted in

I will admit it, I've become jaded when it comes to other religions. I suppose that's because it seems I have had mostly bad experiences with people of different faiths.

I was raised Catholic and forced to go to church, CCD classes and I was forced into receiving all the sacraments. Interestingly enough, I don't know anyone in my family who 'practiced what they preached' so to speak. In fact, I still don't. Pretty pathetic - to me they are all followers, going along with things because that's 'just how it is'

I seem to meet many extremists too and that is a complete turn off no matter what religion. So, I've been feeling pretty 'anti' lately. Thankfully, someone very wise and dear to me made a comment regarding the latest Celebrating Earth Spirituality Event debacle. She said:

"I will never understand why some people just cannot understand that there are many, many different faiths. Each has its beauty and is right for the person that follows that path. My faith is within me and it keeps me strong just as others' faith does for them.

Whenever I see one or two of any faith trying to force their way on another, I think of my father and how his deep faith as a Christian never wavered...he came to our Circles, he celebrated with us and he never once felt threatened or felt he needed to pull me or any one in our Circle to his faith. This is a true example, to me, of a Christian...of a beautiful person. We shared together...and we loved each other!

When you close your eyes and heart to someone based on religion, color, race, etc, you will never know the possible beauty, kinship or love that you may be missing. How sad would that be! Kudos to all those who are happy in their faith and know that others of different faiths feel exactly the way they do!
"

Best Friends

Posted in

Olivia has a 'best friend' - one she met in Pre-school and then went to Pre-K with. Her name is Mayzi. Mayzi's mom Cyndi and I became friends - which is a fluke because I am not that socializing type mom. I know, being a Libra and all, that doesn't seem to fit, huh? Well, I have my friends and that's that.

Cyndi and I hit it off - maybe because we just knew we had things in common - we both follow the same spiritual path. We both are raising our children in the same belief system. We both knew - and still know, that it's going to be tough as they get older because we're not Christian.

Mayzi is very unique and unfortunately, she gets picked on a lot - not for her spirituality, just for being her. She's a wonderful, outgoing child. She's had some trouble in Kindergarten this year with other kids, especially once she got glasses. She was supposed to go to the same Kindergarten as Livi but Cyndi and her husband moved a few miles away and so she goes to a different elementary school.

I am so glad Mayzi and Olivia are friends - we plan on spending lots of time with them this summer.

I Guess I've Been Hiding

I have been a bit anxious lately. The truth is, Zyon and I feel we'd like one more child. We've gone back and forth about this issue for months and have finally come to an agreement. So, last month we decided to just go with the flow and not prevent pregnancy.

I started a blog about this TTC journey and if you're interested, subscribe to it. The blog is Just One More makes 4

I have never had trouble getting pregnant but it seems I won't be able to say that anymore =/

Handfasting Cords

Posted in

I found some really nice handfasting cords on the site gaiashandfasting.com

I'm asking you, my Witchy friends, if you know of any other websites or even crafty people who make these? I am thinking of making them myself too, I mean, how hard can it be? However, in the meantime, I'm having fun browsing around for this stuff.

Thanks for the Input!

Posted in

I posted last month about how Zyon and I are contemplating a handfasting and I got to browsing around the 'net looking at mens wedding bands and found so many I love. You all gave me so much input! Some left comments and others emailed me. I was truly surprised at all the emails I got with so many awesome suggestions!

This kind of 'attention' only makes things that much more exciting to me. Keep sending the suggestions!

I Found Aweosme Wedding Favors!

Posted in

I found these!!! Aren't these pretty for a Fall wedding?? I would LOVE to get this kind of wedding favor as a guest.

I have been thinking about the end of the year lately. Samhain signifies death and death signifies new beginning and a handfasting is a new beginning, right? This is probably why so many people, who understand what Samhain signifies means, get married during this time of year.

Thinking of a Handfasting

Posted in

Zyon and I are not married. We've both been there, done that and don't think we'll ever get married. However, we have considered a handfasting ceremony to show our serious commitment to one another.

Nothing is set in stone as of yet, we've just been tossing around the idea. Well, I've been tossing around the idea, hehehe. It's exciting to think about. In fact, Chrissy, a friend of mine, was just handfasted on Saturday and I enjoyed reading her blog posts about which dress to wear, how to have her hair done, where to find the nicest wedding bands, etc.

It got me looking at the same things and planning, in my head, all the things I'd want. Zyon is not one to wear jewelry but I found these stunning mens wedding bands and I just know he'd love one of them.

Maybe I can get a trip to Salem, MA planned and we could be handfasted there. Maybe, I could even get Laurie Cabot herself to preform the ceremony? Okay, well, I know that will probably never happen but it would be cool!

Using Magick to Find 'True' Love

Posted in ,

Magick is very powerful and that is why I personally don't use it for things like getting a job or finding love. I remember once I thought I had the perfect job and meditated and did a spell specifically for this particular job and guess what? Yep, I got the job and guess what else? I only lasted 11 months - I hated it that much. Looking back, I realize I shouldn't have asked for that specific job but rather for the job that was best suited for me, which as I know now, would not have been that one!

What does this have to do with using magick to find love? Well, my ex husband Jeff and I, believe it or not, get along famously, now that we're divorced! He tells me lots of stuff that goes on in his life, including his dating situation, which, unfortunately, is not the greatest. Of course he asked me to do a 'spell' for him to find someone. No way! Instead, I suggested the online dating website, True.com - Hey, why not, right? The problem is, there are many different types of these sites. Which ones are best suited for the person who is looking and which ones let you search for free because free is always best!

I need to tell Jeff about this site. One thing I know that will get him to check it out is that sign up is free. I hate to see him miserable and a bit lonely. Just because things didn't work out between him and me doesn't mean he's a bad guy or anything. I am sure there is someone out there who is perfect for him.

Date night again!

Posted in

Zyon and I are going out again tonight. I am really happy that we've been able to keep up with this weekly event.
Tonight we of course, need to do some shopping. I need to buy (don't laugh) sweatpants! Yes, I joined a gym and I have no *work out* clothes. I am a jeans girl but I won't be killing myself on the treadmill in jeans! *DUH*
So, we'll do some shopping and then dinner. Not sure where we will be eating at yet...

Like a teenager again!

Posted in , ,

That's how I felt on Friday night. I thought I'd give an update on the evening's events since my friend, Shawn (who has a great blog, by the way) asked how things went.
The first band that went on was Seduce the Machine and well, I have to say, they were AWFUL! Eeegads!
I was impressed with War of Ages, they really knew how to work the crowd!
The band *I* was really looking forward to seeing, was Soilwork and I was actually a bit disappointed in their performance. Personally, I think they got shown up by War of Ages!
Throwdown was the headliner and they kicked ass, as expected!
Zyon and I were in the front row and not 5 feet behind us was the mosh pit but we didn't get too beat up, LOL.
It was a great night. I used to think I was *too old* for that stuff but now I know I am not! Can't wait to see another show!

A Night Out!

Posted in ,

I am so excited! Zyon and I are going to see Soilwork AND Throwdown tonight!
A night out!!! I mean, this is not dinner and maybe some shopping. This is like it used to be, a kick ass show and coming home late.

It's been so long since he and I actually went out like this. I think the last time was well over a year and a half ago. It's nights like these that brought us close. These are the things we have in common and after becoming parents it seemed as if we kind of grew apart in some respect. He'd still go to a show once in a while and I'd stay home with the witchlets. Not anymore! I bribed my mom into coming over tonight , LOL

Here's to an excellent night!

I Miss Him More, But...

With Zyon on this new shift, he leaves at 2pm and doesn't get home until close to 2am, but it's only 4 days a week. I am starting to get used to being home in the evenings without him but it's been a huge adjustment.
I have always looked forward to him coming home from work but more so now that he's on this shift. I think it's because when he gets home, it's quiet and it's him and me. There's no chaos, no screaming kids, no dog acting crazy. Plus, I know that after a few minutes we'll be going to bed together and I enjoy being snuggled up to him or him cuddling up against me. Sex is just a plus!

To The Man:
I really love you, Zyon. I mean, really love you, absolutely unconditionally. I am so happy you came into my life. Thank you for all you've done for me, for us and for our family.
