I used to have an entire room devoted to nothing but my altar and all my witchy books. The house I lived in had a spare room which was my 'witchy room' -- I wish I had pictures of that room. It had speakers se up for my meditation music and I had the perfect lighting - not too bright but bright enough to be able to see what i was doing (I used led light bulbs) - this room was so perfect!
Now my altar is in my living room. It's not awful but I miss having an entire room dedicated to all my witchy things. I've been looking around this house and I realize I am bad when it comes to decorating, lol. I think part of my problem is I hate clutter and while statues and trinkets are not necessarily 'clutter' I still have to dust it...I dust every other day! Where is your altar?
I used to have an entire room devoted to nothing but my altar and all my witchy books. I even found a reputable Energy speaker dealer - so I got the best speakers and set them up in the room so I could listen to my music without worrying about bothering anyone else in the house.

Last night I re-did my Altar...moved it into the living room and created a nice sacred space. I really need to get back into meditating and spellwork....
Life has been so busy. First Belatane and the Fairie Festival, then Mother's Day, now Memorial Day weekend, coming up, Father's Day and our Disney vacation. It's obvious I need to take time and relax/meditate.
I cleaned up my altar today and decorated it for Ostara. So happy to see my little gnomes and flowers on the altar now!
Wow, I should have gotten this posted a while ago. This is my Yule altar, it's simple. I like simple =)
I have family pictures of the holiday events, you can see them here: Holiday Recap and here: Holiday Photos
I decorated my Altar for Samhain the other day. I put my 'Boney Bunches' family on the altar, LOL
It looks a tad crowded, huh? Oh well, I'm sure the God and Goddess don't mind!
Do you see, I have the new altar cloth I got centered on the altar! It fits perfectly in the center. Thanks again, Henry!
I jut ordered this Altar cloth from Earth Spirit Emporium thanks to the gift certificate I received from Henry Kay, author of blog 'Quest for Individuality'
Henry found me online and joined my forum, the Independent World Community where he's become a regular as well as a great friend.
Recently, I got this from him:
Happy birthday! I am so glad that I stumbled on your blog one day with link referral, saw a post about
sponsored posting, and thought "hmmm, maybe I should start a blog!"
And I'm even more glad that you left a comment on one of my posts one day, telling me to join your
forum, which has made me SO much money I can't believe it. If it wasn't for you, I wouldn't have a
single cent in my PayPal account. I hope you will get yourself something nice with this. This is a happy
birthday/thank you gift. Wishing you a happy birthday, Henry.
How awesome! It makes me feel so good when I help people. Thank YOU, Henry, for such an awesome gift!
I tore down my altar today. I don't want the dog getting into it while we're gone on vacation. Here are pictures of what it looks like:
It's pretty standard. I would like to do more with it but I'm not sure just yet exactly what I would like to do. I'll have time to ponder this though and make some changes when we get back!
